Random Thoughts

We are into another week of AJ away training. I actually can't remember off hand what week we are in.. just that we are in the middle. The kids are doing fine with the good- bye. Me on the other hand.. have had a rough time seeing him go the past few weeks. It's really kind of silly and AJ laughs at me.

We enjoyed a nice long weekend with him. Friday night we got to have a date with dinner, and then drinks with friends, which led to Karaoke at a hole in the wall bar. We had a great time. Saturday, AJ played golf with the Boltz men (Dan, Dad, Mitch, and AJ) all the significant others of us girls. I think my Dad is happy to finally have sons! The kids and us girls did some shopping and had lunch. We also made ribs for my Dad's birthday. Yes... I got stuck grilling, because golf ran over.. but I was pretty happy with my ribs and there were lots of yummy noises. Sunday, Aj's brother Bill, blew into town. He evacuated from the hurricane. He is living south of New Orleans. It was nice to have dinner, drinks, and a great game of dominoes with AJ's brothers, my sister in law, and AJ's grandma. Today we were lazy. We ended up running a few errands and then pretty much just got some things done around here. We made a yummy dinner and he was off.

The boys start school tomorrow. I am a bit sad to see Brady go to Kindergarten. I think it is something about him being my youngest and probably my last and going to school forever. He did go to a full day preschool, but he is now going to the school where I last taught and I won't be there to keep an eye on him like I did for Keeg. I know he will be fine. He can hold his own. I am afraid I may be one of those crying Moms on the first day of school that I always hated. =)
