Last week...

I can finally say that we are in the last week of AJ being gone to Police Academy. As I look back on it, it has gone very fast, yet not fast enough. I am truly ready for him to be home and not go anywhere for longer then 2 weeks. I made him promise last night. No more aways for longer then 2 weeks. Forever!!!!!!

We had a very lazy weekend. The kids had birthday parties this weekend. Today, we all laid around. Brayden spiked a fever this afternoon. Of course after panicking because it's Sunday and I need to work tomorrow because I'm taking off early on Wednesday and then all day Thursday to attend the graduation, I got into the after hours pediatric clinic. Luckily our new doctor was the doctor on call, and I think he pretty much laughed at me. No temp, no other symptoms at all when we got there. Of course he had Ibuprofen before we got there. The temp has been down all night and no other symptoms. He has been eating like a horse too. So, not sure if it is a bug, or maybe 6 year old molars coming in, or just being overheated laying with Dad. We will see.

Look for graduation photos at the end of the week!

A day off...

I was able to take the day off with the boys today. It was nice to sleep in and be slow moving today after a busy weekend. AJ was in a wedding about 3 hours from here near the Missouri border. It was a very very long drive with not much but trees, and fields, and small towns. We ended up take the interstate on the way home and it was a little less boring and a bit faster. The trees are very beautiful here right now, so I tried to stay entertained by that. The wedding was fun, the Marines always get crazy and it is always a good time. I am looking forward to AJ's ball in a few weeks.

The boys and I did some running today, made some cookies and just pretty much did not much of anything. I finished organizing some stuff I wanted to get done and actually did some online Christmas shopping. I bought some things that I thought might be harder to get once Christmas gets closer, then did some more browsing. I'm excited for Christmas this year, because AJ will be around. I can think of a million things I want to get him. We probably would normally not exchange, but I'm buying for him anyway. =)

Well, I must get some studying done. I need to get my test scheduled. I have been putting it off...

401 post and Reasons I haven't been blogging!

As I logged on, I noticed it was my 401st post. Wow! Anyway.. I know some of you have grown frustrated that I haven't been good at blogging. To be honest, I check all my favorite blogs everyday... and do get disappointed when nothing new is updated.

Life has be really uneventful lately. I honestly am not complaining. My days are filled with work, running errands, keeping the house in order, helping with homework, and then studying myself. I am truly exhausted by the end of my day. Not that teaching wasn't exhausting, but I seem to be way more tired. I think that I really use a lot more higher level thinking all day long, and it is just draining. Lots of numbers numbers numbers. The market is slow right now, but I honestly stay very busy.

We just had a meeting to divide up job responsibilities. My main focus now is to be the market analysis coordinator/new listing coordinator/and some marketing. So, some weeks will be crazy busy and some will be a bit slower. It seems as if a folder moves off my desk.. and there is another waiting for me! My boss had to chuckle at me today. She has realized that I hate to leave files unfinished and she laughed that I am always at her. I think I have really kept her on schedule, actually ahead of schedule in getting her appointments ready. I still really love my job and am so happy that I made the jump. There was a time that I was afraid that I may have made the wrong choice, but now that I am proving myself and getting things figured out... it's great!

Keegan ended up with Bronchitis. I took him to prompt care Sunday, only to turn around and take him Monday to the doctor. Thankfully they put him on an antibiotic. He is also on breathing treatments which I am ready for him to be done with. They always make my boys a bit mean.. and the fighting all the way to school and home is enough to drive me nuts!

AJ is seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. He graduates the 23rd. He is very busy during the week, and seems to have several tests a week now. I know he is stressed and ready to be done. He is in a wedding this weekend. So, we will head south on Saturday.

Well.. that's all for now!

Sunday Check In

It's another Sunday. Things have been crazy around here! Keegan has had a hard time adjusting to fourth grade schoolwork, and we have been finding ourselves working on homework until right before bed. Then, I have been studying to take my final and my state test. Keegan is sick right now , fever and cough, so that throws a twist into things. We spent the afternoon at prompt care, coming out that he probably is just having a seasonal allergies reaction to the plowing of fields, burning of leaves, etc. Maybe a viral thing thrown in. So, thankfully my Dad can keep him tomorrow. Praying the rest of us don't get it. AJ's wrapping up school in the next few weeks. That's about all that is new here!
