Quick Update

Things have been a bit crazy around here. We had a lovely ice storm last week and have been having frigid temperatures for what seems like forever. Summer... please come fast! Mamaw flew in last week and we were enjoying hanging out with her. Friday morning she gave us a scare and started having seizures. Something we think began giving her symptoms at my birthday dinner. She did find out she has a tumor in the brain actually we are lucky and it is in between the skull and brain and they think at this point it is not cancerous. But, with her history they have to treat it that way. They will remove it tomorrow with a gamma knife. We hear it is a pretty easy procedure and she actually comes home tomorrow. The Dr. wanted to send her home yesterday, but she told him" unless it is 80 degrees outside, I am staying put until this is all done." Good thing for us, is that she has to stay with us for about 6 months. I know she will miss Florida, but we are going to love having her near by. Brady was ready to have her move in with us and stay on our little couch. My sisters have been finishing up the shopping for my Mom and baking cookies. It looks as if we will all have a wonderful Christmas after all.

I took my final last week and failed. The online course I took was very vague and it obviously did not prepare me for the final. Although I have been preparing for the state test and am at the point that I should be to take that. Go figure. So I am working really hard on my own studying so I can retake after Christmas. Aj and the boys take turns quizzing me and checking my answers. It is pretty cute. I can't wait to have this studying done and have a life once again. Lately it has been boys, hubby, and studying.

AJ's back on third shift, but we lucked out with having him off on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, and New Years Day. So, that will be fun! We have two Christmas' to make up for after all.
