We are here..

I wanted to get some pics posted for the boys last night. We got here about 10:15 a.m. yesterday. We had to get up at 4:15, after getting to bed after 12 from the concert. It was totally worth it, and all the travel went smoothly. Even getting into the country was a breeze. Our hotel, was just a ten minute drive from the airport. It was a bit scarey, with a lot of vendors trying to get you to buy their transportation, but you just keep on walking and looking for your transfer. Everyone was so nice. When we got to the hotel, I got a flower. We were taken to the front desk, and our bags were taken to our room. We booked our vacation through bookit.com, and they had noted that it was our honeymoon. I had told the agent our story, and she said that we deserved to call this our honeymoon. So, AJ and I giggled as they kept calling it our honeymoon. There was a couple behind us that was married just 12 hours prior. We could smile, because we knew what married life was like. =)

We immediatley got our suits on and headed to the pool. Where AJ found a bed with umbrella by the pool. We ordered food and drinks and we were set. We made conversation with a few couples and found out the good places to go, and places to stay away from. We headed to our room, to try out the jacuzzi tub. Nice idea.. but we both got bored with it fast. It took forever to fill! We enjoyed a nice steak dinner by the pool. The funniest part of the dinner, was when the waiter came over and asked us if we wanted shots of tequilla. We had been drinking all day, and decided to stick with diet coke with lime. AJ didn't hear what he said and said sure. We aren't shot people. So, after realizing what he said.. we were trying to figure out how to get by not taking them. He brought the shots in wine glasses. Biggest shots, I had ever seen. When he left, we dumped them in our cokes. I have to say, it was one of the best drinks I have ever had! The waiter came by and was impressed with our drinking skills. ;)

I had a hard time shutting down here. I am so busy at home and with the boys, that just sitting still all day was hard. AJ is still sleeping, and I of course was up at 7 a.m. like always. But, I am enjoying some quiet time and waiting for our breakfast to come. We are hanging low today, hopefully beach first, then pool. We will go snorkeling tomorrow. Then Wednesday, we are going on a boat tour to Isle Muejeres and may try to snorkel again if I enjoy it tomorrow.
